Homemade Remedies For Perfect Spotless Skin!

We all know how hard it is to take care of your skin on daily basis with tight schedules and hectic routines. At the end of the day, we all are so tired that we don't bother even changing our clothes, let alone doing all the fancy things with your skin. Atleast, I am usually so tired that at the end of the day, I want nothing else then my bed and my pillow. I tell myself everyday that I'll start taking care of my skin from tomorrow but that tomorrow never actually comes and this gets me panicked when I am unexpectedly invited somwhere. I always end up cursing myself for being so lazy but thanks to my mother, she introduced me to some of the easiest homemade face masks that not only clean your skin but also tighten up the pores and protects the skin from any breakouts. Too much dirt, smoke, dust, makeup products clogs our pores and make our skin unhealthy and dull. It needs to be treated on a daily basis in order to maintain its tightness and shine. To bring out that shine from your skin, you need to pamper it and take care of it like a baby and for that you have to buy several products, creams, and what-not and may I say, the beauty products are expensive as hell. The beauty products with good ingredients are too costly and the beauty products within our limit are a bit risky to use as they may have some cheap harmful chemical that can cause more damage. The face masks that I am going to share with you are something that the women of my family has been using through generations.

OATMEAL AND YOGURT FACE-MASK FOR YOUTHFUL SKIN

  • 1/2 Cup., Oatmeal (Grinded)
  • 1 tbsp., Yogurt
  • 2 tbsp., Olive Oil
  • Bowl
Directions:
  • Take a bowl and add oatmeal and yogurt in it.
  • Stir the mixture and start adding olive oil in it.
  • You will get a mixture with consistency.
  • On a cleansed face, apply the mask avoiding under eyes.
  • Leave it for 20-25 minutes.
  • Wash it off with luke warm water.
Oatmeal has powerful anti-oxidant properties that help to protect and recover skin damage from UV rays, pollution and other chemicals. Its saponin contents helps to cleanse your skin whether you have dry or sensitive skin. Oats helps to reduce itching and inflammation and can be used to calm eczema and heal psoriasis.
Yogurt contains lactic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid, that dissolves dead skin cells. This gentle exfoliation not only helps to create a natural glow and prevent breakouts, but works to diminish the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

Hydroxytyrosol, a rather rare compound found in olive oil, prevents free radical damage to the skin.
Another one of olive oil’s benefits for skin is its usefulness in exfoliating applications. The mild abrasive qualities of the sea salt, combined with the deep, penetrating action of the oil, will remove dead skin cells and leave the epidermis looking renewed and glowing.

GREEN TEA SOOTHING FACE-MASK

Ingredients:
  • 2 bags., Green Tea (Used)
  • 1 tbsp., Honey
  • 1 tbsp., Lemon Juice

Directions:

  • Tear open the tea bags and take out the leaves.
  • In a grinder, add the leaves, honey and lemon juice.
  • On a cleansed face, apply the face mask including the under eyes.
  • Leave it for 15-20 minutes and then wash off with luke warm water.
  • Apply a light moisturizer after the wash.
Green tea improves your skin complexion and makes your skin healthy. It helps flush out toxins from the skin, heals blemishes and scars, and reduces inflammation. It even improves the skin’s elasticity. The antioxidants and tannins (an astringent) in green tea help treat puffy eyes as well as dark circles. They help shrink blood vessels underneath the delicate skin around the eyes. This in turn reduces swelling and puffiness.
Honey is a natural humectant, meaning it draws moisture from the air into the skin and ensures it's retained it in the layers where it’s needed most for penetrating, long-lasting hydration. The enzymes in raw honey clarify skin and keep pores clear and clean.
Lemon works on the acne-prone by reducing both, oil secretions and pimple-causing bacteria. Lemon reduces pigmentation in the form of dark patches/spots, tanning or melasma with the help of its two integral components, Vitamin C and citric acid. Lemon juice can be used to fade freckles, the tiny dark spots, commonly seen on the face of people with fair skin.
